PARKING AT CIPS WORKSHOPS

Free parking permits are available for workshop speakers. To get a parking permit, please notify Barb Hoversten a few days prior to the workshop. Permits will be handed out the day of the workshop. Locate Barb Hoversten or the workshop organizer as soon as you arrive to get your permit.

Parking for others is available only in the "Terraces Parking Lot" which is located to the west of the Lab (down the hill, across the street from Lawrence Hall of Science). This is a paid public parking lot, which costs 50¢ per hour or $5.00 per day. (Bring correct change).

To get to the Terraces lot:
  • Exit the SSL driveway.
  • Turn left on Centennial Drive.
  • Proceed downhill for about 250 yards.
  • Turn left into the second driveway.

Note that there are four levels in this parking lot, but SSL visitors are allowed to park only on the lower three levels. (The top level is reserved for the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute.) There are wooden stairs from the top level of the lot up to SSL: 100 of them! At the top, turn right towards the parking lot of the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute, cross the lot, then proceed up the driveway to the left to reach the SSL buildings.
